Arsenal
will be hosting the Bayern Munich team in their Emirates Stadium for a
first leg of UEFA champions league round of 16. Bayern Munich is leading
Bundesliga in first spot as they are playing marvelous in their
respective league. Players like Gomez, Ribery, Lahm, Schweinsteiger are
in their firing form and their team is in good shape to taunting the
Gunner's fans in their home ground Allianz Arena. The Germans giants are
ambitious to win the UEFA champions league in the presence of their
current manager Jupp Heynckes because we heard from some sources that
their current manager may leave the club at the end of the season and
might be Pep Guardiola will be taken charge in next season as the
manager of Bayern Munich. They weary every year but they did not find
their way to win the UCL trophy.
Bayern Munich vs arsenal 1st leg
Might
be they got this season UCL trophy. Arsenal team is busy in playing its
normal game as their game plan is full of passing and creating the
optimum move. They are prepaid for the fight of UCL against Germans
giants. They are looking forward with their new players as cazorlla,
Giroud, Podolsky. Podolsky is a German international and he plays as a
striker in Bayern Munich team and now he wants to give the optimum
performance in his home. Podolsky got impressive record in Emirates
Stadium. Aresene Wenger is confident that his team players will give
their hundred percent in match against Bayern Munich and he expects a
good performance from the youngster as Willshere, Ramsey, Wallcot. Well
it will be a cracking one as both teams got smashing attacking game. Its
hard to predict that which team will win this one as match lies its
score. It will be Schweinsteiger vs Podolsky 19th February, 2013 for the
first leg of this match. After match you ll get match highlights here
with full time result and goals stats.
Former Bayern
Munich captain Thomas Helmer believes his old club can get past Arsenal
and into the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
He also thinks
that the Bavarians, who are 18 points clear at the top of the
Bundesliga, could win both fixtures in their European tie, insisting
that last year's runners-up have enough quality to overturn Arsenal at
the Emirates.
"That should not be a problem. Arsenal always play
well, but they are never dangerous. I would not be surprised if Bayern
not only wins their home tie, but also the away game in London," Helmer
told TZ Online.
"At the moment you have to say Bayern are playing
well in every competition. The coach is doing everything right, the
mood in the team is superb, does the game system - and they have no
injuries.
"So, once again, it rests on Bayern Munich to defend
the honour of the German clubs in Europe after the weak Europa League
results this week."
Bayern
will be looking to finish the season in style, with the Champions
League trophy providing a perfect platform for the departure of Jupp
Heynckes who is set to retire at the end of the season, making way for
the announced arrival of Pep Guardiola.
